1. Who we are

The controller of your personal data is Byte & Brand s. r. o., whose details are shown above. For any question about your data, use the data request form. You can also write to viktoriia.klymko@byte-and-brand.com.

2. What data we process

Contact form. Name, email, company or website and the message you write. We use it only to reply and to prepare a possible offer.

Call booking. When you book a call on this website, we store your name, email, company or website, your note, the chosen time and your time zone on our own server at Hetzner in the EU. You get a link to a video call on Jitsi (meet.jit.si), which is operated by 8x8, Inc.; during the call 8x8 processes the connection data needed to run it.

Analytics, only with your consent. If you accept analytics in the cookie banner, Google Analytics 4 records pages viewed and interactions such as form submissions, together with device and approximate location. Without consent, analytics is not loaded.

Server logs. Our hosting records technical data such as IP address, time and requested page, needed to deliver the website and keep it secure.

3. Why and on what legal basis

Replying to enquiries and preparing an offer: steps taken at your request before a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Analytics: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time through “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

Security and operation of the website: our legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Accounting and tax records if we work together: legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.

4. Who receives the data

Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany), which hosts the website and the booking system in a data centre in Finland.

Formspree, Inc. (USA), which delivers contact form submissions, data requests and booking notifications to us.

Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC, only with your consent, for Google Analytics.

8x8, Inc. (USA), which operates the Jitsi video calls on meet.jit.si.

Transfers to the USA rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. We do not sell personal data.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiries and call bookings: as long as needed to reply; if no cooperation follows, at most 24 months after our last contact. Bookings are deleted automatically after 24 months.

Contract and invoicing data: for the period required by Slovak accounting and tax law.

Analytics data: 14 months.

Server logs: 14 days, then they are deleted automatically.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before.

Send a request through the data request form. We reply without undue delay, at the latest within one month.

You can also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava 27, dataprotection.gov.sk.

7. Automated decisions

We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing, and we do not profile visitors.

8. Changes

We update this policy when the website or the services we use change. The date at the top shows the current version.
